The aims and objects of the AGPFTA are as follows
- To Preserve, Protect and Defend the interests of its members.
- To encourage and promote goodwill and cordial relation among its members.
- To achieve unity, welfare and prosperity of its members.
- To protect and defend its members from any injustice or aggression
- To resolve amicably any dispute that may arise among the members and to help members in their hours of need.
- To represent or to take up the common and individual causes of its members with central or state governments any ministry / departments or offices or Government authorities.
- To work for social, economic and cultural upliftment of the members and their families.
- To support in the public interest for the cause of any genuine cultural and social activities in any manner in the state of Goa
- And generally, to do all that may he necessary for the further ones and realization of above objects of association directly or indirectly and it is expressly provided that the service that may be rendered by the association in attaining the foregoing objects shall not be charged more than what is actually need for rendering of these services by which association shall not be engaged in any profit making activities
All the incomes, earnings, moveable and immovable properties of the society shall be solely utilised and applied towards the achievements of its aims objects only as set forth in the memorandum of association and no profit thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits or in any manner whatsoever, to the present or past members of the society or to any person claiming through any one or more of the present or the past members. No member of the society shall have any personal claim on any movable or immovable properties of the society or make any profits whatsoever, by virtue of this membership.
